Green Tea Study:

PHASE IB RANDOMIZED, DOUBLE-BLINDED, PLACEBO-CONTROLLED, DOSE ESCALATION STUDY OF POLYPHENON E IN WOMEN WITH A HISTORY OF HORMONE RECEPTOR-NEGATIVE BREAST CANCER

Volunteers between the ages of 21 and 65 are needed to participate in a breast cancer prevention trial looking at whether or not the active ingredient in green tea may be helpful to prevent further problems with breast cancer.

Patient population: * Women who have had a history of stage I, II, or III breast cancer that are cancer free at the time of study entry may be eligible to participate. * Women must have the type of breast cancer that is proven to be estrogen receptor (ER) - negative and progesterone receptor (PR) - negative. * If it has been at least 6 months since your last chemotherapy, radiation or breast surgery you may be eligible for this study. * Normal mammogram on opposite breast within the past 12 months. * Willingness to abstain from drinking tea for 30 days prior to starting the study

Subjects will receive research tests, including mammogram and study drug free of charge.
