A Two-Arm Randomized Open Label Phase 2 Study of CP-751,871 in Combination with Exemestane Versus Exemestane Alone as First Line Treatment for Postmenopausal Patients with Hormone Receptor Positive Advanced Breast Cancer

   

The main purpose of this study is to see if our study drug, CP-751,871, increases the effectiveness of exemestane. However, this study will also determine:

  1. The risks and safety of the study drug when given in combination with exemestane.
  2. How much and for how long the study drug stays in the body after both treatments are given.
  3. If subject's treated with CP-751,871 will make antibodies against CP-751,871.
  4. Patient quality of life.

Subjects will receive free study medication for the duration of treatment portion of the trial.
